I’m a new owner of a few Danish Modern pieces of furniture (I wrote about this a few posts ago). Here’s one chair that I particular love. I believe it was designed by Erik Buck either in the 1950s or 1960s. I don’t know much more about it. Anyone?
I really dig the color of the teak wood and the beautiful, simple arc of the chair’s back. In person it’s really a stunning example of Danish Modern minimalism. We’ll be reupholstering a Danish-made lounge chair soon… so keep an eye out for that!
Please pardon the dust/light drops on the images!

I’ve posted a lot of modern design recently… but the traditionalist in me is drawn to this restored barn. I love the simplicity of the roof line and the sparseness of the facade. Well-done restoration!

Everything here is wonderful… the tall industrial ceilings, huge windows, vintage leather furniture, fire wood as aesthetic decor, and a sleepy dog.
Thanks again!

Another great find by Eleni… maybe I should just stop posting these things and follow her blog. What an amazing home in the San Juan Islands. It has a very Japanese feeling and is another brilliant use of windows.

Lovin’ this modern house in the trees in Japan. Giant windows pay homage to the surroundings and clean, simple lines provide a tasteful complement to its natural surroundings.

Eleni at My Paradissi found this gem of an office. I love the repeating lamps and the overall feel of this space. In her post she also included a great home office space with vintage glass walls. Go check it out… great find!

This is a pretty cool idea. We’ve seen porch floors painted, but not necessarily kitchen floors. With this kind of result, why not?

My fiance and I started apartment hunting this weekend and it’s got me thinking about how it’s going to look. I really love this open, two-sided shelf installed in the wall of this place. Also loving the epic indoor tree and the natural wood coffee table.

I’ve posted something like this before… but I can’t get enough of firewood storage as an aesthetic addition to a room. The browns against the grey wall really make it pop as well. But it makes me wonder, is it safe? Termites?
